God provides all of us a dominion of power that we are already born with ~ it is an innate provision that we must tap into. (The definition of innate is: ideas that we are born with, having had them previously imparted to us). Unfortunately, many of us fail our provision test because we never sit back and allow God first, we always lead with what we want to do…which changes our life path completely, and then we’re sitting around wondering what has happen to our lives. Stop moving forward with what you think you want, but ASK God for what has already provided for you ~ trust in our Lord & Saviour that all things are possible because he gives us the power…

One of Guyana’s hottest rising stars. Edward Neblett is certainly anointed to praise. Neblett blends deeply spiritual lyrics with soul stirring reggae, dancehall, soca, and roots rhythm. Gospel Reggae has been on the rise, but funny enough I am just getting hip to this ministry of music. I am delighted to come across Mr. Neblett song “Anointed” I hope you enjoy! Thursday’s Q & A ~ Recession

I’ve learned that during the Great Depression recession of the 1930′s creative ingenious idea’s blossom due to the economic meltdown. Companies such as Chevrolet, Proctor & Gamble, Disney and Kellogg begin building their future enterprises and never allowed what they “saw” as a recession to paralyze them ~ while others maximized their advertising dollars to drive consumers to buy – who at any given time have deposable income, as many of us do today.

My challenge to you is ~ Can we imitate history during this 21st century recession and bring forth lucrative, credible, out of the box, creative businesses?

Who wants to be like Walt Disney when we have ____________ business?

The Climb

I was watching the Hannah Montana movie with my daughter about a month ago. She asked me to rent this video for her for weeks, so reluctantly I rented the movie for her. However, once we got home she begged for me to watch it with her, of course I didn’t want too, because I had rented my own adult movie and I was looking forward to watching it. But, being the mother I am (after constant pleading & begging) I cave in and watched the movie.

Surprisingly it was a really great movie. It told a fabulous story about fame and the balances of life. Sometime we ask God to give us what we want, but once we get it, we never bargain for all the extra hard work it would take to maintain the request he granted us.

So I’m taking a page from Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana and I present to you ~ The Climb~ read the lyrics they are powerful.

Devotional Challenge

A vision came to me in a dream from God to develop up a book. It was extremely vivid that it had me going out the next day to buy all the items I need to move forward with God’s plan. You see, I was recently laid off and funny enough I was actually at peace with myself ~ because it had an intended purpose, so when the vision came to me I knew instantly that my lay-off was a divine plan. In September for some reason I started texting my friends morning devotionals that would make their day more positive and uplifting, so much so that a friend suggested that I journal the messages I send. We’ll I heard them, but I never move to action to capture the previous messages I texted. So of course now that I am at home, I decided to put to action there suggestion, and wouldn’t you know I lost a significant amount of devotionals. So on Tuesday, December 15th to be exact I wrote pages of devotionals and in turn ~ hence the devotional challenge. I am going to take a page from the Julie & Julia movie and challenge myself to inspire and uplift as many people as possible. Whether it be strangers, family or friends. The Devotional Challenge is a welcome addition to my life. You see I had a career in fundraising, but I don’t believe this was my calling. I did great as a fundraiser and raised a lot of money, but the Devotionals does not require me to do a lot of thinking . When it comes to the them, it just flows naturally. I hope you will enjoy the ride with me, as I uplift you and bring Good News of other awe-inspiring excerpt to your attention.

My Testimony

Up until recently I really did not know what I wanted to do with my life. I’ve always been the person that knew what my next steps were going to be. That is, until life brought an uncontrollable desire to spiral me all around – and I did not know which way was up or which way was down. Then one faithful evening a woman out of the blew approached me at a local Target – offered me her business card and said to me, “I run a little bible study out of my home and I was compelled to give you my card”. I looked down at the card and said to out loud to no one in general ~ How Did You Know I Needed This!

God had planted an angel amongst me for the relief of my burdens and my wayward, emotional ways.

I am perfect in the eyes of the Lord, but in order for me to continue to maintain and hold onto this new found revelation – it’s just like being in school. At the beginning of the semester your are given an “A”, but it is up to you as the individual to maintain the “A”. My Walk now is to be Obedience to my calling which is this Blog – The Water Mill, I will share my innermost thoughts, while at the same time offers advice base on my own personal experiences, praise through song, interviews of everyday people and prayer.
